This particular area of North West Pennsylvania is notorious for producing large buck. (like this one)
In the year 2000 we initiated what has become a very successfull deer management program and we are now producing and harvesting some exceptional buck. All deer hunting here at Scattergun is fair chase, we monitor our deer herd carefully and only offer a limited number of hunts each year. All state regulations must be observed, you may visit www.pgc.state.pa.us/pgc/cwp/browse.asp for more information and to purchase your license. All hunting is from comfortable tree stands (no still hunting). This offers a great, safe opportunity to teach young hunters the sport of deer hunting and the art of patience. There is a 4 point per one side minimum antler restriction in our wildlife management unit 1B. This does not apply to junior license holders or active duty U.S. Armed Services personnel.
